Parkersburg Family Care Welcomes New Nurse Practitioner to the Team

Coplin Health Systems is pleased to announce that nurse practitioner Sarah Schartiger, RN, BSN, FNP-BC, will be joining the Parkersburg Family Care team at the Camden Avenue location.

Schartiger is a dedicated family nurse practitioner with more than 10 years in nursing and healthcare. She received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Washington State Community College followed by gaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from West Virginia University. Schartiger finished her education in 2017 at Wheeling Jesuit University where she received her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Sigma Theta Tau.

Prior to coming to Parkersburg Family Care, Schartiger worked as a family nurse practitioner locally where she managed care of outpatients of all ages, performed wellness exams, pre-op, and acute care visits among other duties.

Schartiger finds her career to be rewarding and challenging, but a role the healthcare system needs. She enjoys assisting patients achieve wellness goals and figuring out difficult diagnoses.

When not at work, Schartiger enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
