Coplin Health Systems and Westbrook Health Services Partner for Mobile MAT Services

Coplin Health Systems and Westbrook Health Services recognize the prevalence of the opioid epidemic in the United States and its harmful impact in the state of West Virginia. Because of the great need for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in the Elizabeth area, Westbrook and Coplin have partnered to offer services to residents. Westbrook’s Mobile MAT unit will be visiting Coplin’s Wirt County Family Care site to offer Suboxone or Buprenorphine as an option to treat opioid dependence.

Westbrook’s Mobile MAT program helps to manage both the short-term and long-term effects of opioid dependence as part of overall treatment, which consists of medication, counseling, attendance at support group meetings, and on-going monitoring to build a lifestyle that supports recovery efforts. The Mobile MAT unit will be in Elizabeth at Wirt County Family Care on Mondays from 9:00am – 12:00pm. To schedule an appointment, please call 304-485-1721 extension 875 or email amay@westbrookhealth.com.

Additionally, Coplin Health Systems will begin offering Vivitrol or Naltrexone. Vivitrol is an available treatment option to individuals with substance use disorder or alcohol dependence. Naltrexone blocks the effects of opioids by competitive binding at opioid receptors. To schedule with Dr. Nichols to discuss these treatment options, please call 304-275-3301.
