Coplin Health Excited to Put Behavioral Health Grant to Work

Coplin Health Systems (CHS) is excited to announce that it has received a grant to expand and support its Behavioral Health program which will help increase access to quality behavioral healthcare within its communities.

Funds from the HRSA Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) grant will be used for departmental growth, including hiring an additional behavioral health provider, equipment and supplies to support the program, and staff certification and training on current and new practices. This grant will also allow Coplin Health Systems to participate and partner in community engagement events like the annual Back to School Bashes and bringing Chris Herren to Wirt County Schools.

“We are so grateful for the dedication of Sarah Casseday, Director of Behavioral Health and her commitment to helping CHS offer quality behavioral health services throughout our service area,” said Rob Dudley, CEO of Coplin. “It is because of her dedication to Coplin and this program that she has secured over $850,000 to support the Behavioral Health department since she began working with us in 2016.”

“I am so excited about this grant and the opportunities it is opening up for the Behavioral Health program. Behavioral health is such a vital part of overall health, so by continuing to increase access to these services our patients are able to become healthier overall,” said Sarah Casseday, Director of Behavioral Health. “Our goal is to ensure that every patient has the support and help they need to be healthy and to engage our communities in conversations and events that focus on ways to do this.”
